DAY 1:

The journey begins

Let the good times begin on this two day, overnight trip to Fraser Island. Whether you're departing from Brisbane at 6:45am, Noosa at 9am or Rainbow Beach at 11am, your first stop will be lunch in Rainbow Beach. Get to know your guides and group while you enjoy an array of delicious food including cold meats, picnic salads, fresh fruit, cakes, wraps, bread rolls and more. You'll have a bit of time to kill before the ferry to the island so why not explore what Rainbow Beach has to offer? Meander through the local shops, check out the beach or take a hike up to Double Island Point Lookout (2km return) before boarding the ferry.

Welcome to Fraser Island

Your first stop on the world's largest sand island is 75 Mile Beach where you'll get your 4WDing on! Drive along the stretch of golden sand until you reach Eli Creek. There you can relax, take a dip and enjoy the crystal clear waters. In fact, Eli Creek's water is so pure that you can even drink it. After your dip you'll travel further along the beach to Maheno Shipwreck. Learn about the history of the ship that has been beached on Fraser Island's shores since the early 1900's. Next up you will take the sandy highway all the way to Lake Wabby for a late afternoon dip before reaching your home for the night, Eurong Resort.

Relax under the stars

Wind down after your busy day at Eurong Resort. Check-in to your cosy room at the resort before heading to the restaurant to indulge in a mouth-watering buffet dinner (included in your tour). After dinner take a walk along 75 Mile Beach (which you are only 50m from) and check out the stars. Without the city lights polluting the sky, you can clearly see the stars and the milky way. Take a hot drink with you and relax on the sand and chat about the highlights of your day with the group. Try and catch an early night so you can wake up early for sunrise!

Day 2:

Start your day with a sunrise

Fraser Island sunrises are some of the best in Australia (in our opinion) so be sure you don't miss out on seeing it! Wake up early and head over to the beach with your new friends. If you're a morning person and full of energy, take a walk along the beach, or simply grab a cuppa and something cosy and sit on the shores as you watch the sunrise over the ocean. Return to the resort for a fresh breakfast, perfect to kick-start your day! You'll have the choice of fresh fruit, cereals, toast, bread and more to eat.

Visit the famous Lake McKenzie

Jump back in the 4WD and head straight to Lake McKenzie - one of the most photographed locations on the island. Admire the turquoise coloured water and white silica sand while you splash around. Be sure to have your camera handy as the lake makes sure the perfect backdrop (can update those profile pictures here). The lake is actually made up of rainwater and is 100 metres above sea level. In fact, the acidity levels in the lake are so high that sadly you won't find any marine life swimming around!

Stop at iconic Fraser Island hotspots

The next stop of the day is the Satinay Forest, home to the tranquil Wanggoolba Creek. Explore the rainforest, keep a look out for Australian wildlife like wallabies, possums or dingos. Your guides will show you a rare giant King Fern that is mesmerising. After soaking in the natural wonders, you'll spot for lunch (at your own cost) before heading to the ferry to farewell Fraser Island. Arrive back at Rainbow Beach between 2pm - 4pm, Noosa between 3pm - 5pm, and Brisbane at 7pm.
