Important Information:

  • Minimum qualification: Advanced Diving Certification or equivalent
  • Guests must have completed at least 10 Open Water dives
  • A refresher course at an extra cost is required for guests who haven't dived in 12 months. Guests who do not complete a refresher will not be able to complete the tour and will be charged the cancellation fee in full.
  • All divers will use Nitrox tanks (intro Nixtrox briefing included for non-certified Nitrox divers)
  • Surface interval time will be spent on the vessel so sea sickness medication is recommended
  • Pre-trip reading material must be completed either on the day before or the morning of the dive
  • Tours are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers

Once you've gone through your dive plan for the day, and completed your Nitrox introduction (if you aren't already Nitrox certified), it'll be time to get out on the water! Once your dive charter sets off from Carlo Point boat ramp, you'll get to drink in fabulous views of Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island and Inskip Point. It'll take about 40 minutes to reach Wolf Rock.

First dive and surface interval lunch break

Get your gear on and set up your Nitrox tank because it's time to dive in and explore this famous dive site. Explore spectacular rock formations and keep your eyes peeled for some nurse sharks swimming among them. After completing your first dive, you'll need to take an hour-long surface interval on board the vessel. Treat yourself to a light snack lunch and enjoy the views from above sea level!


Second dive and return home

Once your hour is up, you'll be all set for your second scuba dive! Look out for the exotic marine life thriving beneath the water's surface. Once your second dive is complete, it'll be time to head back to the dive shop and dry off after a thrilling day in the water.

Terms and Conditions

Important Information:

  • Guests must have a minimum of 10 Open Water dives and feel confident diving prior to booking. Includes Nitrox tanks, weights, experienced instructor and guide, all materials and training to get you below 18 meters to see the Sharks! 
  • If you haven't dived for 12 months you will require a pool refresher completed the day prior at additional cost. If you do not complete the Refresher and this is discovered on the day of your dive tour, you will not be able to complete it and will be charged the cancellation fee in full.
  • Wolf Rock Dive reserves the right to cancel a diver on the day if they cannot provide evidence of prior diving experience. You will be charged in full for cancellation on the day. 
  • Please be aware that trips are subject to minimum numbers, weather and availability
  • Due to a significant additional level of safety all dives at Wolf Rock are on Nitrox. Those who are not certified will receive an introduction to Nitrox on the day and the opportunity to upgrade to full certification later
  • You are required to complete some reading prior to your dive trip which should take approximately 45 minutes. You are more than welcome to collect the reading material the day before your tour with us from the dive shop between 3pm and 5pm. Alternatively you can complete it from 7:15 am the day of your trip. Please let us know your preference in the booking process.

Your Responsibilities:

Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip. 

You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Fraser Tours / Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. 


Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.


Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Tour Operator. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 


Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.


Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees.

You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Wolf Rock Dive reserves the right to cancel a diver on the day if they cannot provide evidence of prior diving experience. You will be charged in full for cancellation on the day. Please inform us if you are unwell or experiencing any 'flu'-like symptoms, or have been in a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days. Wolf Rock Dive Centre reserves the right to refuse service and entry to anyone with these symptoms. We must insist that you stay at home and you will not be able to participate in the activity. You must be medically fit to dive and have a reasonable level of fitness, there may be strenuous conditions.

Upon booking, you will be sent a medical declaration form that outlines potential conditions that may impact your ability to dive.Those answering 'yes' to any of these questions may require a diving medical. Refunds will not be given on the day if you are unable to dive due to a medical condition


Client Cancellations:

All cancellations forfeit 25% of the recommended retail price (RRP) - not the discounted/sale price. No shows or client cancellations made within 48 hours of departure forfeit 100% of the total ticket price. 

Transfers between tours can be made at the suppliers discretion, however, it should be noted that supplier fees may apply. Tour transfers also incur a $20 administration fee. 

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to admin@mr-travel.com. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.


Supplier Cancellations:

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.


Refunds:

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.


Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based off of feedback from other Service Operators.

Are nurse sharks dangerous?

Although they look rather ominous, grey nurse sharks are typically harmless to swimmers, snorkellers, and divers. Of course, like many animals, they can cause serious harm if they feel threatened, so be sure to let them be and give them their space.

Where is Wolf Rock?

Wolf Rock is a dive site 2km off Double Island Point. The area is classified as a marine sanctuary as it is the only known gestation site for endangered Grey Nurse Sharks on the East Coast of Australia

Do I need to have my Nitrox Certification to do this dive?

Due to a significant additional level of safety, all dives at Wolf Rock are on Nitrox. Divers without Nitrox certification will receive an introduction to Nitrox course and the opportunity to upgrade to full certification on the day.

What is included in the price of this tour?

Nitrox tanks and weights, experienced guide and a snack lunch are included in the price of your tour.

What scuba certification do I need to do this tour

You must to have a minimum of an Advanced Diver certification or a recognised equivalent to do this tour. 

Please be aware that Junior Advanced Open Water divers have a depth limit of 21 metres. Please get in touch with an agent to discuss options if you hold a Junior Advanced Open Water certification.

You will be using Nitrox on your dive at Wolf Rock, though a Nitrox certification is not necessary. You will receive an introduction to Nitrox course and the opportunity to upgrade to full certification the day.
