Important Information:
- Minimum qualification: Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Guests must have completed at least 10 Open Water dives
- A refresher course at an extra cost is required for guests who haven't dived in 12 months
- All divers will use Nitrox tanks (intro Nixtrox briefing included for non-certified Nitrox divers)
- Surface interval time will be spent on the vessel so sea sickness medication is recommended
- Pre-trip reading material must be completed either on the day before or the morning of the dive
- Tours are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers

Mandatory reading and check-in
Your tour begins as soon as you pick up the mandatory reading materials from the Wolf Rock Dive shop, either the evening before or the morning of your dives. Once that's checked off, everyone will be briefed on safety, equipment and the dive plan for the day. Then it's time to hop on board the vessel and set off toward Wolf Rock!

Do I need to be scuba certified to do this tour?
Yes, you need to have a minimum of an Open Water Diver certification or a recognised equivalent.
Do I need to have my Nitrox Certification to do this dive?
Although you will use a Nitrox tank on this dive, you do not necessarily need to have a Nitrox Certification before doing this dive. You will, however, have to complete an introductory Nitrox briefing.
How many people will be in my dive group?
There is a maximum of 10 divers per charter, divided into two guided groups
When can I complete my mandatory pre-trip reading material?
You can come to the dive shop and complete your pre-trip reading material the evening before your tour (between 3pm and 5pm) or the morning of your tour (at 7.15am)
Where is Wolf Rock?
Wolf Rock is a dive site 2km off Double Island Point. The area is classified as a marine sanctuary as it is the only known gestation site for endangered Grey Nurse Sharks on the East Coast of Australia
What other marine life might I see at Wolf Rock
While Wolf Rock is best known for its Grey Nurse Sharks, it is also often visited by Manta Rays, Leopard Sharks, Eagle Rays, Blotched Fan Tail Rays, Sea Turtles, Olive Sea Snakes, Giant Queensland Grouper and in the winter, and even the Humpback Whale during their migration period!
Are nurse sharks dangerous?
Although they look rather ominous, grey nurse sharks are typically harmless to swimmers, snorkellers, and divers. Of course, like many animals, they can cause serious harm if they feel threatened, so be sure to let them be and give them their space.
