How long is the trip?
It's up to you! This package includes a 3-day, 2-night K'gari tour and a 2-day, 2-night Whitsundays tour. The start dates for each of these tours are flexible, so chat with our travel agents to pick the best days. You'll need to account for some travel time between each location.
How long does it take to travel between K'gari and the Whitsundays?
The journey between Rainbow Beach (the gateway to K'gari) and Airlie Beach (the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands) is an 11-hour drive (without stops). The Greyhound Bus from Rainbow Beach to Airlie Beach takes between 14.5 to 16.5 hours.
We recommend giving yourself two weeks for this package, allowing plenty of time to explore the East Coast of Australia!
Which tour comes first?
The order of the two tours is flexible! Our travel agents can book each individual tour separately on dates that best suit you. Note that each tour is subject to availability.
Is there a minimum age for this package?
The minimum age is 18 years, and both tours are ideal for adventurous travellers who are young at heart!
Is transport included?
Transport is not included in the standard package. However, a Greyhound Whimit Bus Pass or campervan, are popular add-ons and we can offer you a discounted rate if you need a hand getting from A to B! Opt for the package + Whimit Bus Pass option at checkout, or live chat with our travel agents to make the travel part a breeze!
Is food included?
Meals are included on both of your tours, so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Is accommodation included?
Accommodation is included on your tours. On K'gari Safari, you'll have two nights in a glamping tent at an island campsite. On Powerplay, you'll have two nights in a shared cabin onboard. You'll have to organise separate accommodation for the time in between each tours, but our travel experts can help you do that as well.
Can I bring my children?
Unfortunately, this package is only suitable for travellers ages 18+. If you're looking for family-friendly trips, check out our Whitsunday tours and K'gari tours which are perfect for children.
