Swim In The Lakes

There are lots of beautiful lakes on K'gari that are composed of fresh, clean, clear water. While the oceans around K'gari are rough and have intense currents, the island's lakes are perfect for swimming. Places like Lake McKenzie, Lake Birrabeen, and Lake Boomanjin are perfect for kids of all ages because the water is shallow and relaxed. Lake Wabby is quite deep and you have to walk down a steep sand dune to get there, so this lake is better for kids who are a bit older.
