Fraser Stretching over 123 km in length and 22 km in width, Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island with some of the most breathtaking sand blows and purest sand dunes that the world has to offer. Discovered by Captain James Cook in 1770, most of the island is now protected. With lush tropical rainforests, the only of which to grow from sand, over 40 crystal clear freshwater lakes and the stunning rugged coastline that fringes the island, this is a place not to be missed!

How to get here
The Fraser Coast, approximately 300 km North of Brisbane, is easily reachable with many different transport options available. We are able to help you organize your coach transfers to either Hervey Bay and Rainbow beach, which are the two main gateways to the Island. Both ports have ferries running regularly, so travel to and from is not a hassle. Tour options also run from Brisbane, Gold Coast and Noosa and there is even a domestic airport (Fraser Coast) which also makes the area easily accessible from some of the larger cities.
